EXPO 88 is a short film with a satirical purpose. The film takes the form of a pseudo-interview in which the interviewer, dressed in a kangaroo costume, engages in a series of conversations with tourists pretending to have just visited EXPO 88. The conversations contain some satirical references to events including EXPO 88, and also serve the purpose of taking us back to that era. The film uses a number of effects to simulate the feel of EXPO 88, such as the use of an old Helios 44-2 lens with added noise, some sudden advertisements and some sound and picture desynchronisation after the advertisements.
